Tucker's Travels...Part 1

So...Crazy Summer? ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY! Tucker may only be five months old (his four month and five month posts are coming) but this kid has traveled to 8 states! He has been on a road trip half-way across the United States and flew the other half of the way.  This mom was a little anxious but it turns out, we've got a terrific traveler on our hands (and I will choose to fly Southwest ANY time in the future if I can when flying with kiddos).

Itinerary:

June 8th-10th: School is out for the summer! Darlene (Jordan's mom, Tucker's Mia), Jordan (in a separate car), Tuck & I headed to Atlanta.

Here we hung out with Jordan's family-they finally got to meet the little guy!

June 11th: Darlene, Tucker and I left the booming city of Atlanta to head up to Salem, Illinois to visit the other side of Jordan's family.
This road trip was a little lengthy but Tucker was a trooper (along with Daisy and Calli in the back of the car). We made a short stop at the Daily Planet where Tucker was able to show his true identity...Super Baby!!

Next Stop:

June 11th-13th: WE MADE IT! Salem, Illinois.  Tucker and the older people hung out for a few days with the family and then it was time to head to the big city of CHICAGO.

About an hour away!

June 13th and five hours later-Chicago! We made it, Tucker was a trooper and the fun was just beginning!

A Traveling We Must Go!

(Jamie) Three more days of school and one more month until I have a MA in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am keeping my head above water, but it hasn't been easy! This spring has been monumental.  Not only did I finish and submit my National Boards (I will be surprised if I get above a 2 on any of my entries....) along with having Tucker, but I also put together our fifth grade promotion (my fifth grade team is awesome so I can't take all the credit), tried to be the best team leader I could be, moved classrooms for next year and entered into my last class for graduate school (one more month and I'm freeeee!).  Can I say-BUUUUSY?!! Thank goodness for supportive friends, family and most importantly-Jordan! After editing countless papers, he has truly been my biggest cheerleader.  Thank you J for your patience, I LOVE you!

So...after a busy year (probably the busiest of my life), it is time to go on vacation.  Yes, I will be finishing my last class and capstone, but I will manage as Tucker and I travel across the country.

First stop? Atlanta on Saturday.  We will have a fabulous dinner with the Scott family and show off the newest little addition

Second stop? Salem, Illinois. Yet another fabulous dinner as we introduce Tucker to the Howe fam bam!

Third stop? Chicago. Zoo, parks, downtown Elmhurst and Mia & Grandaddy-sounds like fun!

Fourth stop? Tacoma & our first plane ride! Tuck and I will be flying up to see the Johnstons! J will join us for a few days of family time, corn hole, pictures and whatever else we get ourselves into.

Fifth stop? Salem, OR-not sure when, but sometime within our two week stay Tuck and I will be visiting the Leaches!

Then on June 28th our traveling adventure will end as we fly across the country and back to Atlanta to meet J (just in time for his birthday!).

Excited, anxious and ready to go, can't wait to see some of you!!

Tucker Goes to School!

Today was our last FULL day of school and Tucker made his appearance (thank you Darlene for also making and appearance!)!! My students were in love, and why wouldn't they be.  Tucker was also in love, he smiled and laughed as each of my fifth graders talked to him and loved on him.  It was so adorable.  Darlene (Mia) took some pictures, in order to protect my students, I blurred out their faces. I must say, I was a proud teacher (my students handled this so well!) and mommy (Tucker was a SUPERSTAR!).

Plenty of free babysitting offers and ooohs and aaaahs...although my girls told him to wait on the flirting (he is already pretty good at that).  These were some of the most memorable moments I've had with my students this year!

Splish Splash

Bath time with Daddy-Tuck sure loves the water (just like mommy & daddy!).

Three Months Already?

Here's to my little dude who makes me smile so much EVERY day! Happy three months buddy!

Mother's Day

What a special day-I know that everyday should be mother's day, but I love spending this day remembering all of the amazing things my mom has done for me and looking forward to all the memories we will share together in the future.  Today I finally had the chance to be a mommy on Mother's Day.  I will admit, it wasn't the most perfect day thanks to an awful sinus/allergy/whatever ear and headache (my nose won't stop running) and sadly, I had to miss church.  Spending the day with my little guy, big guy and mother-in-law was very special though.  The hubs spoiled me with a yummy breakfast and gorgeous flowers (he even decoupaged!!).  Chuck and Darlene gave me and the little guy an umbrella stroller-it is super cute! My Grandma J sent me Starbucks (yay for half price fraps!). My own mom and dad spoiled me with a gorgeous heart necklace made with blue diamonds for BOY! Thank you all for making me feel so special on this first Mother's Day-I love you and thank God for the best Mommy's Day gift ever-TUCKER SCOTT!
